Billboard

Just passed a billboard on I-55 in MO which I hope gets people thinking.

"When you get to the gates, what will you say when He asks, 'Did you defend unborn children?' "

Update:
There seem to be a lot of pro-life billboards in MO. I'm enjoying it.

Saw another billboard which was AMAZING, though it had nothing to do with abortion. Here's what it said:

"Free bungee-jumping for Congressmen! No Strings Attached! $1,300,000,000 Deficit! Vote them all out in November!"

I especially like the "no strings attached" line. Enjoy!

Better update!!!
Via Lance, and by the way, thank you again, good sir, we now have a picture to share! Isn't it great?!

Out of town . . .

Going to be gone for a few days, and likely unable to post anything. Given that I skip days quite frequently, that's nothing new. When I get back, I do have some fun pics to share. Shot a .40 yesterday at some golf balls with fmj rounds. Kinda interesting. Going to try with jhp rounds Monday, then I'll put everything up for comparison.

If I come across something important, I'll try to post it via Blackberry, but we'll see.

Newsweek Trots Out Discredited SPLC Lawyer Mark Potok to Decry 'Patriot' Groups | NewsBusters.org

Newsweek Trots Out Discredited SPLC Lawyer Mark Potok to Decry 'Patriot' Groups | NewsBusters.org:

"In vilifying the Tea Party, Potok forgot to mention that a large majority of violent incidents at last summer's town hall meetings -- precursors to the Tea Party protests -- were perpetrated by liberals, Democrats, and their allies.

Potok didn't seem concerned when SEIU thugs beat Kenneth Gladney for distributing Gadsden Flags. Maybe it has something to do with Potok's wild belief that Gadsden Flags can indirectly incite violence.

And of course, the liberals so concerned about political violence were not terribly worried when scores of left-wing protesters called for the death of George W. Bush, Republicans generally, and even American soldiers. The supposedly wild and offensive signs at Tea Party rallies look like Hallmark greeting cards compared to the vitriol displayed at many anti-war and anti-capitlist protests since the turn of the century (examples)."

Letter For The American People

Via Ol' Broad, we have this video. Transcript of letter beneath video. Share this message!
Letter For The American People , An Ol’ Broad’s Ramblings

“In one year, the American people are witnessing the greatest lie that is cleverly orchestrated by President Obama and his whole administration. The lie is a potent aggression that feeds the needs of people who either have not educated themselves enough to understand the assault upon us all or the very poor and needy who live to be taken care of. President Obama feeds these people poison, giving them the idea that they are entitled to take from the wealthier who have lived and worked in a democracy that understands that capitalism is the only truth that keeps a nation healthy and fed. Now the lie goes very deep and President Obama has been cleverly trained in the Alinsky method and it would be very important that every American knows what that method is. It is a socialistic, Marxist teaching and with it, little by little, he rapes this nation, taking down our defenses, making new language for the Islamic extremists. The world looked up to us as a symbol of hope and prosperity now wonders what will become of the entire world if America is losing its power. The American people who understand exactly what is taking place have come together in the thousands, vowing to try to stay together as a unit of love and freedom for all men and women, from all walks of life, shivering to think that this once great nation will be a third world country. This will be the first president to ever weaken the United States of America. President Obama uses his aggression and arrogance for his own agenda, against the will of the American people when he should be using his will and aggression against our enemies. Every loving American for peace and truth and the security of our nation must come out and join the Tea Parties in their states. The opposition will continue their tactics; they will lie and plant their own bullies amongst us. Everyone must pay close attention to who stands next to them. We can weed out the liars and agitators. Let us all stay in Gods light. Let no man put asunder. We can and we will prevail. God bless us all!”

New Pistol? Should I?

So, lately I've been strongly considering picking up a new carry pistol. Looking at the Springfield XD Sub-Compact 40. Yeah, I can shoot the cap off a Sprite bottle with my Bersa, but let's face it - the 380 isn't exactly a powerhouse. I really want something that is more powerful, and the XD SC has that and is about the same size as my Bersa, but holds 2 more rounds that are much more powerful, and that's the short mag. Ammo availability is another big thing, too.

Now, the only thing I have to do is confirm in my mind it's worth the $500 price tag. Thoughts anyone?
