Armed man roaming Tennessee

Just got reports that a man openly carrying a handgun has been sighted in Henderson, TN at a bank and optometrist. The same man was later sighted in Jackson at Verizon, Gander Mountain, Goodwill, and an antique mall. Wendy's in Lexington had similar reports, and a witness said the man and his wife were on their way to church.

Strangely, there were no reports of evil mind-control rays being emitted from the gun and forcing the man to start killing innocent people. Also missing were reports of mass hysteria and the gun leaping from its holster and firing itself into the crowd. Could it be that guns don't really equal more crime, or that they are actually inatimate objects which are in and of themselves neither good nor bad?
